About Dugout Pros

Dugout Pros has a long history with Baseball. It's founder, Brian Nedley Jr has had a passion for baseball ever since he can remember. He grew up watching the Yankees play throughout the 2000s on TV just about every night. Experiencing the Yankees "Core Four" win the world series in 2009, to the retirement of each player: (Jorge Posada, Andy Petite, Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter) And of course Alex Rodriguez outside of the "Core Four". Each player had a special impact for Brian. 

Brian grew up playing baseball, molding his play after each one of the Hall of Fame players. He was a pitcher, short-stop and third baseman. Although not a catcher, being a pitcher closely tied him to the position. Over the course of 15 years of playing, Brian noticed players couldn't always afford the next best thing. So instead, players used other peoples bats, which in return, made other players with new bats protective about their equipment. It was either get a new bat or use the town bought bats which were never great. Even after receiving a new bat when it came to the big field, there wasn't much of a difference in hitting. After playing a career for 15 years, year-round, ending in the Class M Connecticut State Championship, baseball disappeared in his life for almost a decade. After analyzing his career, he noticed that the bat and glove a player uses doesn't make them great; it's the players ability to improve on their skills: hitting, catching and throwing. Not the bat and glove. Eight years later, an opportunity opened up for him to get involved with baseball again. A fellow classmate in high school that Brian used to play basketball with, had started an online golf shop for youth players. He reached out asking if Brian could work for him. As interests aligned, he offered to mentor Brian into learning his business. The absence and love for baseball came back with the aligning of his mentor. That is what drove Brian to start Dugout Pros: helping players grow to their potential. Baseball has evolved a lot since the 2000's and twenty-teens. New technology is now used for practice and new techniques. On the down-side, equipment prices have only gotten more expensive and legendary bats have been forgotten about!

Dugout Pros is bringing old fashion back and mixing it with the new. Giving players affordable bats and gloves to choose from and bringing new tech and equipment their way to help them progress their game into the big leagues. Every player should have the means of improving their skills and every player should have the chance at owning a legendary bat! The goal for Dugout Pros is to offer players of various age groups, affordable choices in used baseball bats and used baseball equipment.
